Independent estimate review

Is that quote fair?Find out before you sign.

You're about to trust a stranger with thousands of dollars of work on your home. We read your estimates line by line and tell you — in plain English — what's included, what's missing, and how the prices compare.

No payment until your report is ready to view.

How it works

1

Upload your estimates

The 1–3 quotes you've collected — PDFs or phone photos both work. Takes two minutes.

2

We take them apart

Scope, line items, materials, permits, warranty, and the fine print — checked against what a complete estimate for that trade should include.

3

You decide, informed

A plain-English report with the exact questions to ask — and ready-to-send notes for each contractor.

Whose side are we on? Yours. Only yours.

We work only for you

We're the only party in this transaction who makes no money off your project. No referrals, no kickbacks, no contractor network.

We don't trash contractors

Most contractors are honest. We show you which estimate is complete, which is vague, and how the prices compare — so a good contractor's detailed bid finally gets the credit it deserves.

Plain English, not jargon

Every term that appears in your estimates gets translated, so you can talk to contractors as an equal.

Flat fee. No upsells.

Our guarantee: if your report doesn't teach you something worth the fee, reply to it and we'll refund you. No forms, no fight.

Compared to the cost of one missing line item on a $20,000 job, this is the cheapest insurance you'll ever buy. Educational tool — not a guarantee of contractor performance.

Common questions

How fast do I get my report?

Your report is generated as soon as your estimates are processed — typically within minutes, and you're never charged until it's ready to view.

What if I only have one estimate?

One works. We review it for scope completeness, vague language, and red flags — and tell you exactly what to ask for in writing. Two or three makes the price comparison sharper.

Will you tell me if I'm being overcharged?

We compare your bids against each other and give you a general industry price range for context. We'll never invent a fake 'fair price for your zip code' — nobody honest can promise that from a document.

Do you recommend contractors?

No, and that's the point. The moment we take referral fees, our independence is gone. We only review the estimates you bring us.
